Women are considered well educated, earning huge income, and are now in quest of the properties that would suit them best.
Take heed because women are now becoming a force to watch out for in the housing industry.
Women in Australia, just like their American counterparts, have been improving and developing their abilities and skills for them to become more self-sufficient and financially independent.
They have now grasped the stage of self sustainability which gives them the ability to go in search for the perfect property for them.
A revolution brought about by a mixture of advance education, excellent training and progress in working conditions. This was shown in a current national survey conducted by the Home Loan Hints, which stated:
- 58% of individuals searching for a home loan are women , making female as the dominant gender in the industry
- 38% were looking for their first home
The past 25 years have seen the rise and the largest transformation to the condition of women’s economic status, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
In the 1980’s, women between 18 to 65 years of age earned around 30% of all income received by both men and women in this age group. By the year 2005 to 2006, this figure increased by around 40%.
The survey of Home Loan Hints also showed that the female gender are more likely to gain education for themselves regarding the mortgage market through the Internet and by looking around, while remaining less influenced by one-sided information as compared to their male counterpart.
It is liberating to see women take such a dynamic role in sustaining their financial status, becoming more self-sufficient and living the Australian dream. That’s what you call women empowerment.
